El propósito de este estudio es investigar la seguridad y la eficacia de un tratamiento potencial para el dolor neuropático periférico diabético (dolor en las piernas). Su participación en este estudio ayudará a ampliar el conocimiento y la comprensión del dolor neuropático periférico diabético y de sus opciones de tratamiento. Los participantes que cumplan los requisitos deberán asistir a visitas clínicas a lo largo del estudio.
El dolor neuropático periférico diabético es un daño en los nervios de las piernas y los pies causado por niveles elevados y prolongados de azúcar en la sangre, lo que provoca síntomas como ardor, hormigueo, entumecimiento y dolor.
