About the Weight Loss Research Study
This Phase III clinical research study is evaluating the safety and effectiveness of an investigational once-daily oral tablet for chronic weight management in adults with
obesity or overweight who also have Type 2 diabetes. Participants will receive either the investigational study tablet or a placebo (a tablet with no active medication) while following healthy diet and physical activity recommendations. Researchers hope this study will help determine whether the investigational medication may provide a new treatment option for weight management and blood sugar
management in the future.
About Obesity and Type 2 Diabetes: Having obesity makes you more likely to develop diabetes, the condition of having too much glucose (sugar) circulating in your bloodstream. Obesity also causes diabetes to worsen faster.
